What Happened
The Reserve Bank of India has further extended the Directive issued to The Anjangaon Surji Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd., Amravati, Maharashtra under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. The Directive, originally issued on July 27, 2022 and last extended up to July 28, 2024, has now been extended from the close of business on July 28, 2024 to the close of business on October 28, 2024. The RBI states that all other terms and conditions of the Directive remain unchanged and the extension is subject to review.
