What Happened
The Reserve Bank of India has extended the existing directions issued to The Anjangaon Surji Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd., Amravati, Maharashtra under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. The directive, originally issued on July 27, 2022 and last extended to October 28, 2023, has now been continued for a further three months, until the close of business on January 28, 2024, subject to review. The release states that all other terms and conditions of the directive remain unchanged.
