What Happened
The Reserve Bank of India extended the existing directions issued to The Anjangaon Surji Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd., Amravati, Maharashtra under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. The directive, which had already been extended up to January 28, 2024, is now continued for a further three months from the close of business on January 28, 2024 to the close of business on April 28, 2024. The RBI stated that the action is in the public interest and that all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
