What Happened
The Reserve Bank of India further extended the operation of its earlier directions issued to The Anjangaon Surji Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd., Amravati, Maharashtra under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. The directions, originally issued on July 27, 2022 and previously extended up to July 28, 2023, were continued for another three months, from July 29, 2023 to October 28, 2023. The RBI stated that all other terms and conditions of the directive remain unchanged.
