Co-operative banks account for more than the decline in penalty value

Disclosed penalty value fell by ₹93.0 lakh from July 2026 to August 2026. Co-operative bank penalties fell from ₹1.10 crore to ₹11.6 lakh, accounting for 105.9% of the decline, while NBFC penalties rose from ₹26.7 lakh to ₹36.6 lakh.

NBFCs accounted for 40.7% of actions in August 2026, up from 18.2% in July 2026. Co-operative banks accounted for 51.9%, down from 75.0%.

The largest penalty made up more than half of disclosed value
