What Stood Out

Each finding is grounded in precomputed metrics. Open it to inspect the supporting numbers and the limits of the claim.

01

Severe actions took a larger share of the enforcement record

Seven actions were classified as severe, or 16.7%, up from 3 actions and 9.7% in August 2025. The month recorded 2 cancellations, compared with 1 cancellation in August 2025.

02

Bank penalties accounted for more than the full decline in disclosed value

Disclosed penalty value fell by ₹31.1 lakh, from ₹1.75 crore to ₹1.44 crore. Bank penalties were ₹31.8 lakh across 1 action, against ₹1.24 crore across 3 actions in August 2025, accounting for 296.5% of the decline; co-operative-bank penalties rose to ₹88.8 lakh from ₹50.4 lakh, offsetting part of the fall.

03

The penalty distribution was less concentrated at the top

The median penalty rose to ₹1.8 lakh from ₹1.0 lakh, while the maximum fell to ₹31.8 lakh from ₹75.0 lakh. The top five accounted for 61.4% of disclosed penalty value, down from 82.6%.

04

Declared entities were not the same as separate action records

The period's action records declared 73 entities. The largest order declared 31 entities, so the entity total is not a count of separate action records.

05

Reporting and disclosure was the most common recorded theme

Reporting and disclosure appeared in 32 actions, or 76.2% of actions. KYC / AML appeared in 12 actions, or 28.6%, while customer protection and lending norms each appeared in 9, or 21.4%; themes overlap.
