The Reserve Bank of India has extended the existing Directions issued to The Amanath Co-operative Bank Ltd., Bangalore under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. The earlier directive, issued on June 12, 2024, is now continued for a further three months from close of business on September 12, 2026 to close of business on December 12, 2026, subject to review. RBI states that the other terms and conditions of the directive will remain unchanged and clarifies that the extension should not be taken to mean the regulator is satisfied with the bank's financial position.
