The disclosed penalty distribution shifted towards larger amounts

The median penalty rose from ₹1.6 lakh to ₹2.0 lakh, while the largest disclosed penalty rose from ₹61.4 lakh to ₹3.32 crore. The 90th percentile also increased from ₹6.3 lakh to ₹39.0 lakh.

Severe actions remained broadly stable as a share of records

There were 41 severe actions, or 28.1% of records, compared with 40 and 27.6% in Q4 2024. The period also had 7 cancellations and 2 supersessions, compared with 7 cancellations and 1 supersession.
