The Reserve Bank of India exercised its powers under Section 45-IA(6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 to cancel the Certificate of Registration (CoR) of 59 companies. The release lists each affected company and its CoR/cancellation dates. As a result of the cancellation, the entities shall not transact the business of a Non-Banking Financial Institution as defined in Section 45-I(a) of the RBI Act, 1934.

All 59 listed companies lose their NBFC registration and must stop undertaking NBFC business. This directly affects the companies and any counterparties or customers relying on their NBFC operations; they may no longer legally carry on non-banking financial institution activities from the stated cancellation dates.
