RBI has lifted the business restrictions previously placed on ECL Finance Ltd and Edelweiss Asset Reconstruction Company Limited. The lift takes effect immediately.

The earlier operational constraints no longer apply. ECL Finance Ltd may resume the restricted wholesale structured transactions, and Edelweiss ARC may again undertake acquisition of financial assets, including SRs, and reorganise SRs, subject to ongoing regulatory compliance expectations from RBI.
