What Happened
The Reserve Bank of India notified that the directions issued to Shri Chhatrapati Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Pimple Nilakh, District Pune, Maharashtra, were extended again. The modified directive dated September 07, 2016 extended the existing order from September 11, 2016 to March 10, 2017, while keeping all other terms and conditions unchanged. RBI also clarified that this extension should not be interpreted as indicating substantive improvement in the bank's financial position.
