What Happened
RBI notified that the period of operation of its existing directive against The Choundeshwari Sahakari Bank Ltd, Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur was extended for six more months, from June 1, 2016 to November 30, 2016. The bank had already been under directions since August 30, 2014, and the release states that the other terms and conditions of the directive remain unchanged. RBI also noted that the modification should not be construed to mean it was satisfied with any substantive improvement in the bank’s financial position.
