What Happened
RBI notified an extension of the validity period of the directions already imposed on Shri Shivaji Sahakari Bank Ltd., Gadhinglaj, Dist. Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The directions, originally issued on October 24, 2011, were extended from April 25, 2013 to October 24, 2013 under a modified directive dated April 16, 2013, subject to review. RBI clarified that the other terms and conditions remain unchanged and that the modification should not be read as evidence of substantive improvement in the bank's financial position.
